Dr. Fish is a native of Warroad Minnesota where he spent the majority of his youth. He attended college initially at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where he played hockey. After completing his career there, he finished his undergraduate education at the University of South Dakota and then went on to medical school in Kansas City, Missouri. An orthopedic surgery internship and residency followed in Tulsa Oklahoma. Dr Fish's passion for spinal disorders and surgery led him to pursue additional training at the Rocky Mountain Spine Clinic in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Fish met his wife, Emily, while in medical school and they have three beautiful children – Keaton, Anna Catherine, and Carter. The Fish family relocated to Tennessee in the summer of 2007 and they are happy to call Nashville home. When not practicing medicine, Dr Fish enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. He also plays men's league ice hockey, enjoys watching sports and is an avid golfer.
